Zaina Lodge Pushes Tourism In Tamale

Zaina Lodge, a world class ecotourism facility in the heart of the Mole National Part at Tamale, is one key factor that draws tourists to the Northern Region.

It started operations barely a year ago but has earned an enviable reputation as one of the finest in the hospitality industry. One of its toasts is the safari facility which offers tourists an opportunity to watch elephants and other wild animals at very close range but in absolute safety.

The facility was one of the key sponsors of  the recent Ghana International Trade Fair held at the Tamale Stadium. Its Operations Manager, Arvind, said the gesture was a way of giving back to society.

He said the Fair served as a boost for tourism for the region and attracted high profile personalities including President John Mahama.

“We have settled well in the hospitality industry though we are barely a year in the system. I can confidently say that it is the only lodge with a five star touch.

“That notwithstanding, we keep looking for new ways of serving our numerous customers. We make sure we ‘spoil our customers’, giving them a red carpet treatment”, he noted.

The 60-staffed lodge, as part of its package, treats customers to a high profile safari (wildlife) in an attempt to promote conservation through ecotourism.

The fair got under way on February 25 and   ended on March 5.
