Wu-Tang Clan stars investigated over killings

Agents at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have probed two members of the Wu-Tang clan over the murder of a pair of drug dealers in New York in 1999.

The revelation was made in documents filed at a court in Brooklyn following the conviction of two men for ordering the killing of 17-year-old Jerome ‘Boo Boo’ Estella.

It emerged that Estella had been accused of robbing the brother of Wu-Tang Clan star RZA, and FBI agents launched a probe to see if the star had any connection to the killing. They also investigated the possibility that another band member, Raekwon, had links to the death of another dealer, Corey ‘Shank Bank’ Booker.

Neither star was charged, and convicted drug kingpins Anthony and Harvey Christian have been found guilty of ordering the murder of Estrella.

The paperwork which mentioned the two rap stars was requested by the brothers’ lawyers as they await sentencing. Booker was killed just a few days after Estrella and that case remains unsolved.
