Why should I apologize for the monster you’ve made me Shatta Wale asks

Dancehall artiste Chareles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has faulted unnamed persons for demanding an apology from him when they are equally to blame for his personality.

Shatta Wale is blaming his controversial lifestyle and utterances on persons he says are equally demanding an apology from him.

The comment is coming shortly after the Ghana Music Awards Board announced Tuesday that the dancehall artiste has been disqualified from this year’s music awards .

According to Theresa Ayoade, CEO of Charter House, organisers of the awards, Shatta Wale would qualify for this year’s awards when he completes the process of officially apologising for maligning the VGMA Board.

Shatta Wale, who had criticised the awards organizers, announced that he will submit his works for nomination due to pressure from his fans.

In a strongly worded post on Facebook Tuesday night, the ‘Kakai’ hit singer wondered why he should be the one to always aplogise for the monster people have made him become when no one has ever apologized for making his that way.

He said: “WHY SHOULD I ALWAYS I APOLOGIZE FOR THE MONSTER YOU HAVE MADE ME BECOME WHEN NO ONE HAS EVER APOLOGIZED FOR MAKING ME THIS WAY.IF YOU PUT ME IN A CAGE LIKE AN ANIMAL AND FEED ME WITH FRESH BLOODY MEAT FOR YEARS,IMAGINE WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I BREAK THE CAGE AND COME OUT,I WILL BE FORCED TO LIVE THE BLOODY WAY YOU TRAINED ME”.

Shatta Wale, although boycotted the 2014 edition of the music awards, over differences with the organisers, won the ‘Artiste of the Year’ award.
