VybrantFaya’s Mampi Wins Song Of The Year At GN Bank Awards

The maiden edition of the much-anticipated GN Bank Awards 2015 came off at the Accra International Conference Center with several celebrities and personalities in the arts and sports fraternity gracing the occasion. The night was full of glitz and glam as the dons of the creative arts and sports were recognized for their years of relentless services to society. The GN Bank Award was wholly based on public decision via sms voting and witnessed amazing surprises in terms of winners.

Top of the surprises was when fast rising dancehall musician and ‘Mampi’ singer VybrantFaya won GN Bank Best Song of the year. Key to this was the list of heavyweights within this particular category, which will make it very difficult for any up and coming artiste to sail through what can be termed ‘pool of sharks’

The category for GN Bank Award Best Song of the year was fiercely competed by highlife legend and Legend’s and Legacy Ball hallmark artiste, Daddy Lumba with the song ‘ye neawo ho be tor wo’ followed by other well established acts like VVIP (selfie), Joey B –(tonga), Shatta Wale ftSarkodie (dancehall commando), Samini (Iskoki), Castro ft. D’Black (Seihor), Joyce Blessing (NyamenEguama), Sarkodie (Adonia) and BisaKdei.

As keen as this category is, VybrantFaya a relatively new artiste came up top of these stars. It’s a clear endorsement of the young and vibrant dancehall musician into the industry.

VybrantFaya brand soon after introduction to the industry has become an award winning brand and it looks like there is going to be more.

GN Bank Award is sponsored by GN Bank planned to be held annually for the public to choose and vote for the celebrities and personalities they think have done well in the year of review. The award is steered by a board and the people have 100% vote on who wins what. This is the first edition and it’s promises to be more exciting next year.
