AWARD-WINNING Ghanaian hiplife musician, Okyeame Kwame, has announced a new date for the enactment of another exciting Versatile Show at the National Theatre in Accra on December 21.

He disclosed that his decision to stage the show again was based on popular requests from a section of music fans and theatre lovers who witnessed this year’s edition at the National Theatre.

He hinted that based on popular requests, the organisers have secured another date (December 21) within the busy Christmas festive period to bring it back.

Some theatre lovers who attended the show on November 8 said they were satisfied with the show and all the artistes who performed on the show were superb. They also commended the professionalism and the production team of the show.

Apart from the music, the show gave Ghanaians the opportunity to experience theatre performance at a different level.

This year’s edition of the show  dubbed ‘The Beggars’ , featured some popular Ghanaian musicians and actors like Adina Thembi, Wanluv the Kuborlor, Ekow Smith Asante, Adjetey ‘Pusher’ Anang, Keche, Choirmaster (Praye), Samini and others.

Okyeame Kwame and his show-stopping casts would again treat patrons to a night of music, drama, comedy and poetry when the show reruns on Friday December 21.

The show, which seeks to combine theatre, music and dance on one stage in one night, promises to be a full-blown showpiece of a musical artistry by a talented artiste.

The Versatile Show depicts a typical begging attitude on the part of people in our society; right from the politician who is more satisfied getting foreign aids, to the police who is unfairly just, the pastor who pleases men and himself more than he does to God, to the pimp who will not back down on seeing his dream of becoming the ‘man’ he wishes for, and to the prostitute who hassles her way through different lovers.

The Versatile Show, written and produced by Okyeame Kwame, is powered by Firm Bridges Communication, in collaboration with the National Theatre.

The sponsors include Gh One , Japan Motors, Fiesta Condom, Viasat 1 , Global Media Alliance and Ghana Web, and financed by Midland Savings and Loans.
