Two parliamentary aspirants pick forms

Half-Assini, Sept, 10, GNA – Two more NDC members in the Jomoro Constituency have picked nomination forms to contest the primaries.

They are Mr Henry Woku Anlimah, immediate past NDC Constituency Deputy Secretary and Mr George William Somiah, current executive member of the Party.

The Constituency Secretary of the Party, Mr James Belia Benson, made this known to the Ghana News Agency at Half Assini on Wednesday at the party office.

He said this brings to six, the number of people who have picked forms to contest the primaries.

Mr Benson said Mr Anlimah, immediate past Assemblyman for Kabenla-suazo Electoral Area, picked his form on Monday, September 7, while Mr Somiah, District Coordinator of the Non-Formal Education Division (NFED), picked his on Wednesday, September 9.

He said they had paid their nomination fees of GH¢1,000 each, and added that nominations which opened on Monday September 1 would closed on Thursday, September 10, pending the primaries schedule for November.

Those who have already picked their forms are Mr Thomas Elleam Nyankey from Nawulley, Mr Leo Kofi Amenlemah Armah, from Jaway both in the USA, Mr. Samuel Nda-Blay Armah, from Kengen and Mr Francis Kwaidoo Ackatiah, from Ekpu.

Meanwhile, the incumbent MP, Wing Commander Francis Kabenlah Anaman (retired) is yet to pick forms to declare his intention of contest.
