The Game Ordered To Pay 40 Glocc $3,000 Following 2012 Battery Incident

A second phase of the trial to determine whether The Game should pay punitive damages has been scheduled for next month.

The Game has been ordered to pay 40 Glocc $3,000 following a 2012 battery incident, according to MyNewsLA.com .

The publication reports that Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Susan Bruguera found The Game guilty of battery for his role in an incident that took place outside of a Hollywood Hills home in July 2012.

In addition to the initial ruling, Superior Court Judge Susan Bruguera has scheduled a second phase of trial for January 14 to determine whether or not The Game should have to pay punitive damages.

“I feared I was going to die,” 40 Glocc testified regarding the incident, which reportedly took place on July 7, 2012. “Everybody’s got guns on me. My best defense was to run and get away.”

40 Glocc — whose real name is Lawrence White — says while he was leaving the party, he heard someone say, “Turn up.” Upon turning around, White says he saw it was The Game.

According to 40 Glocc, The Game was with approximately 10-12 other men at the time of the incident and asked one of them for a handgun.

“He cocked it, put a bullet in the chamber and said, ‘You heard me, I said turn up,’” 40 Glocc said. “I turned and ran. I got chased down.”

40 Glocc says The Game put the gun next to his forehead.

“I said, ‘Look at me, you don’t want to do that, get your hand off that trigger,”’ 40 Glocc testified. “Everybody else was saying, ‘Shoot him, shoot him.’ My life was just flashing.”

40 Glocc testified he received medical treatment for injuries to his face, hands and legs. He also maintained he suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder, a claim the judge rejected. She noted that 40 Glocc is an admitted gang member with a violent past.

“Plaintiff’s testimony of suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder as a result of defendant’s battery and not because of the prior violence in his life totally lacks credibility,” Brugera wrote.
