The Church has failed in fight against corruption – Rev Wengam

Head pastor of the Cedar Mountain Chapel Assemblies of God Church, Reverend Stephen Wengam has described as disappointing, the role of the church in the fight against corruption in the country.

According to him, sermons delivered in churches do not have any impact on Christians majority of whom he says engage in such corrupt acts.

Speaking to Citi News, Rev. Wengam opined that corruption is rife in Ghana because “our sermons are not credible; they are not touching the people to convert them”.

He called on the clergy to take a second look at the sermons they preach to help nib the corruption canker in the bud.

“We the pastors must do some introspection and look at our sermons again and make them relevant to national development” Rev. Wengam added.
