Tatale Sanguli Assembly approves 2016 budget

Tatale (N/R), Nov.21, GNA – The Tatale-Sanguli District Assembly (TSDA) has approved its 2016 budget.

The approved total amount of GH¢ 5,925,097.78, is expected to be used to embark on developmental projects.

The budget was unanimously approved by assembly members during a special Assembly meeting on Friday at Tatale in the Tatale-Sanguli District.

The Assembly’s main sources of funding include the District Assembly Common Fund, District Development Facility, Internal Generated Funds and the Government of Ghana (GoG) Transfers.

Mr Nicholas Nakibe Waake, DCE for the area, said all assemblies are expected to approve their Annual Action Plan and Budget for the ensuing year and submit same to Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning for Consolidation into the National Budget before the end of October annually.

Mr Waake said the projects and programmes as captured in the budget were extracted from the Medium Term Development Plan and this involved the participation of major stakeholders in the District.

Mr Nyimangnun Frank, the Presiding Member of the Assembly, said the support of the Assembly members was very important for them to fight underdevelopment in the District.

He said their electorates had entrusted in them a big responsibility to develop the district and that it is important not to abuse the trust reposed in them. GNA
