Star of the Future Finally Returns!! Immanuel Emmanuel

Three years on after winning Charter House’s singing reality competition Stars of the Future, who would have imagined any artiste would have stood the test of time, because unlike wine, talent withers with time; yet that wouldn’t be the case of the reigning winner of SOTF Emmanuel Paapa Yawson now IMMANUEL EMMANUEL.

The eminent vocalist didn’t only change his name but totally altered his look and style of music and we are not surprised he chose gospel as his genre because during the competition he attributed even his flaws to God.

On the 1st of November, IMMANUEL EMMANUEL premiered his debut gospel single across the globe. The single titled Midnight Cry has been heavily criticized by the Ghana Gospel Fraternity yet is enjoying massive airplay and was recently featured on Zipped Radio’s Top Africa in the United Kingdom.

Everyone who has listened to the song has their own reservations about it and yes, we admit it’s totally out of the norm of Ghanaian gospel music. Here IMMANUEL EMMANUEL blends western rock with Africa’s afro pop. It’s more like Imagine Dragons and Tuface on the same song but preaching God’s gospel, you can imagine.
