RMD And Kate Henshaw Confirmed For Obi Ikenchukwu Foundation Seminar

Nollywood celebrities, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) and Kate Henshaw have joined the enviable list of personalities who have confirmed their attendance for the Debut Seminar and Dinner being organised by the Obi Ikenchukwu Foundation (OIF) this Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Civic Centre, Lagos.

The Nollywood duo of RMD and Kate will join another Nollywood star, the delectable Monalisa Chinda, former Super Eagles and Wimbledon Striker Efan Ekoku and Manminder Mangat, a UK based solicitor and expert in Children and Adult Services on the panel of the Foundation.

The Obi Ikenchukwu Foundation is a charity based in Lagos, Nigeria which advocates against violence towards children especially the girl child. At its debut Seminar, the Foundation’s focus will be on Child Street-Hawking and its implication on the society.

The trio of RMD, Kate and Monalisa are not coming to act on stage at the OIF event but to be on a panel constituted by the Foundation to talk about issues that bother on the girl child. The theme of the seminar is ‘’Empowering the orphan child and female victims of violence/domestic violence’’. Mrs Folake Oshin a Lagos Magistrate, will speak on “Child Act Law, the Nigerian perspective”, Efan Ekoku will speak on the topic “Sport and The Child”, Manminder Mangat is billed to speak on “Child Rights, the UK perspective”.

The duo of Richard Mofe-Damijo and Kate Henshaw has both starred in more than 80 movies. While RMD took a break from mainstream acting while he was made the Commissioner of Culture and Tourism in Delta State, Kate Henshaw cemented her A-list status place in Nollywood by bagging ambassadorial deals with the likes of seasoning giant Onga.
