Rebranded Asumadu Releases ‘Call Me District’

Barely a month after Kumasi based rapper, Young So, dropped his stage name to reconnect with his family by using his family name, Asumadu as part of his rebranding, luck appears to have smiled on the young lecturer.

His creativity and hidden talents appear to have shot up almost immediately culminating into the release of single tipped to rule the industry at least for this Christmas festivities.

The ‘Ask Me why’ rapper new release is a combination of a Hip-hop and Hip life dubbed, Call Me District – a song produced by One Herry. Indeed, the flow and lyrics depict a true trait of future rap act. Call Me District happens to be the first track released under his new record label, Boss Africa, and name.

Born Asumadu Mensah Solomon, the young rapper’s rise has not come without challenges. Just before the release of singles, Asumadu had to part ways with Gentlemenradio Record Label in United States of America following unresolved misunderstanding. The announcement on his Facebook wall came as a shock to many music followers after the two had collaborated to produce some scintillating songs.

“I no more have a handwritten signature with Gentlemenradio records”, the 22-year old lecturer at the International School of Aviation in Kumasi told Graphic Showbiz. Under the record label, Asumadu released songs such as Letting You Go featuring Gallaxy, Come Closer ft Chikicherrkerr of MTN Hitmaker fame, Ahuofe Patri and T3nt3l3but33l3 which featured Keche.
