Photo of the week: It’s one small tribute to Komla, one giant tribute from the next generation

Adwoa Saah Asuming, head prefect of Avemaria Junior Secondary School in Dansoman  writes a tribute in the book of condolence opened for the late Komla Afeke Dumor at the premises of Joy Fm.

After the big names – politicians, business, lawyers, entertainers and diplomats – are done, the next generation walk in to pay respect to the man they call ‘The Boss Player’.

She didn’t experience or witness the meteoric rise of Komla from host of Joy FM Super Morning Show to international presenter of BBC’s Focus on Africa programme.

But, she would have listened to the torrent of stories and testimonies about his life. And as she writes, each word would be heavy with the influence of Komla Dumor’s values – keep trying, push yourself, don’t just do it, be the best at it and never ever give up.

Read what she wrote:
It’s one small tribute to Komla, one giant tribute from the next generation.
