A Kumasi-based pastor concerned about the perennial water problem confronting the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) has financed the digging of a borehole at the hospital to help solve the water challenge.

Rev Peter Yeboah and his wife said they were unhappy when they learnt that patients on admission at the hospital usually faced acute water problems; hence their decision to sponsor the GH¢7,000 charity project.

He told DAILY GUIDE that God touched their hearts to intervene to help solve the problem, promising to dig another borehole soon to help improve the water situation at KATH, the leading medical facility in the city.

Rev Yeboah, who works as a Motivational Speaker at Royal TV’s ‘Dawuro’ morning show from 5:30am to 6am from Monday to Friday in Kumasi, said ‘water is life,’ hence his decision to dig deep into his pocket to help KATH get water all the time.

According to him, the gesture was also to prove to other men of God that they should not be focused on preaching the gospel alone, urging, ‘as pastors we should back our preaching with action to help the needy.’

Rev Yeboah, who worships at Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC) in Kumasi, looked excited at his accomplishment. He said life is all about working hard to bring smiles and joy to the hearts of other people, noting that God had blessed him with a heart to support the needy.

The Motivational Speaker at Royal TV is noted for his passion to support society. On May 1, 2014 he organised a free medical screening where 250 people at Adum were screened for blood pressure, hepathisis B and malaria.

The CEO of KATH, Dr Jospeh Akpaloo, bemoaned the frequent water shortage at the medical facility, stressing that Rev Yeboah and his wife’s decision to dig the borehole would go a long way to boost water supply at KATH.
