Parliament’s high seats ‘swallowing’ shorter MPs

‘Shorter’ Members of Parliament (MPs) have started complaining about the high level of parliament’s newly installed chairs.

According to some of the legislators who spoke to Adom news, the chairs and desks make it difficult for them to catch the eye of the Speaker.

The tall chairs, they insist also make it difficult for them to see and interact with colleague legislators while parliament is in session.

Their complaints have led many of them to ask themselves if indeed they were factored into the designing of the chairs which were imported to refurbish the floor of the house.

One of such MPs is Major Derek Yaw Oduro (Retired) who claims he was “swallowed up” by the chair due to his height.

The Nkoranza North MP thinks it would have been prudent for the designers of the chairs to consider the heights of some of the MPs before installing the furniture.
