Parliament Is No Playground-Fiifi Kwetey

The Minister for Food and Agriculture, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey has cautioned the electorate not to allow haste to influence their decision to vote for the wrong people to represent them in parliament.

According to the NDC Ketu South Member of Parliament seeking re-election, the rapid development of the area would depend on the calibre of person that the electorate would vote for, to articulate their concerns in the house.

Addressing party faithful at Agbozume, Kwetey asked them to give their mandate to the candidate who is confident, selfless and above all has the rapid transformation of the area as his number one priority. ‘Parliament is not a playground; if we have heavyweights like Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, Alban Bagbin and Haruna Idrissu , your candidate should also be  of equally heavyweight  quality.’

Fifi Kwetey asked the electorate not to use his under three years period as a Member of Parliament to judge his performance and reminded them of his success in fighting for the approval of twenty road projects for the constituency in one day.

He therefore called on them to vote massively for him in Saturday’s parliamentary primaries so that together, they would achieve the expected ‘golden future’ for Ketu South.

He called for unity, singleness of purpose and dialogue to resolve the little personal differences within the rank and file of party faithful in order to make the party remain stronger.
