Opare-ansah Opens Eastern Springs Water Company To Create Employment In Suhum

The member of parliament for Suhum in the Eastern Region, honorable Frederick Opare-Ansah on Monday, 11th January, 2016, officially opened his new company Eastern Springs mineral water to help create employment and provide quality drinking water for Ghanaians.

The company which will be a subsidiary of his company HASNA hospitalities is located right at the heart of Suhum a few meters away from the Kpankpan junction. The company at the outset has employed fifty (50) workers who are all residents of Suhum, and it is expected that, when the company finally operates at full capacity, it will employ over five hundred (500) people.

According to Hon. Opare-Ansah, he decided to start the factory because he realized that there was high levels of employment in the constituency and after a series of discussions with the board of directors of Hasna hospitalities, they decided to open the water factory in Suhum. The location of the factory is also to serve as a token of gratitude to the people of Suhum for supporting him over the years in his political career and he hoped the people of Suhum will support him once more to make this project a success.

The occasion was graced by the Suhumhene Osaberima Ayeh Kofi I as well as the queen mother of Suhum, Nana Yaa Sakyibea. Other dignitaries present were the NPP parliamentry candidate for Akropong Nana Ama Dokua, Hon Kuragu a former MP, Nana Addo the CEO of Major Water in Suhum.

Also present was the CEO of Agya Nie bitters, a company in Suhum, CEO of My Joy water company and members of the clergy in Suhum as well as Muslim leaders in Suhum. The CEO of Major water, Nana Addo welcomed him into the sachet water business in Suhum and wished him well and the Omanhene of Suhum OSaberima Ayeh Kofi I also commended him for taking the bold initiative to help alleviate the unemployment situation in Suhum.

The company also plans to start producing bottled water before the end of the year as well as start the production of beverages early next year.
