The incumbent President of MUSIGA, Bice Osei Kuffour popularly known as Obour is going to face a stiff competition from some bigwigs in the industry. He is not going unopposed in his quest in seeking a second term as the President of the union.

Veteran Singer Gyedu Blay-Ambolley together with recording engineer/producer Appiah ‘Appietus’ Dankwa have filed forms to challenge the incumbent individually.

It could be recalled that, a hiplife artist, Criss Waddle questioned Obours candidacy for a second few weeks ago.

A statement from Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, Communications Director of MUSIGA, says the union’s elections committee would have candidates interested in standing for executive positions vetted at the MUSIGA office in Accra at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 17

MUSIGA will hold its sixth Quadrennial Delegates Congress in Koforidua in the Eastern Region from October 29 to October 31 during which the election of new executives will take place.
