NLA Supports Chisen Foundation

The National Lottery Authority (NLA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting the needy in Ghana by presenting a cheque for GH¢10,000 to the Chisen Foundation.

NLA made the donation to the Chisen Foundation, a UK Non-Governmental Organization, which assists children with special needs and disabilities in Ghana, on Thursday in Accra.

Making the presentation, Corporate Communications Manager of NLA, Kesewaah Dolphyne, said the donation formed part of the authority’s corporate social responsibility.

According to her, the donation would help cater for the needs of children under the care of the Chisen Foundation.

She disclosed that NLA was the first entity to respond to calls from the Chisen Foundation for support.

On her part, a Trustee of the Chisen Foundation, Cynthia Mawusi Boadi, thanked the NLA for the support.

She stated that the donation would go a long to help meet the needs of the organization.

The NLA has assisted several organizations and needy individuals, including a 27-year-old kidney patient, Keneth Odamtten.

The Chisen Foundation was established in 2009 and officially launched in August, 2015.

According to Ms Mawusi Boadi, the Foundation continues to provide medical supplies, reading books, school bags, blankets, among others, to about 300 children in Shai Osuduku, Asutuare, Ningo-Prampram, Dodowa and Sota.
