News Editor threatened by NDC foot soldiers for calling elections

The News Editor for Adansi Communication’s shaft 98.1 FM in Obuasi, George Opoku Mensah a.k.a Akwesi Agudey has posted on his time Facebook timeline threats by some foot soldiers from the camp of the defeated Dr. Yaw Nsiah Peprah who lost the NDC Obuasi West seat by a slim magine to the Deputy Social Protection Minister, Mr. John Alexander Kobina Ackon at the just ended NDC parliamentary primaries.

On Saturday, 21st November 2015 Akwesi Agudey posted on his Facebook timeline he had 8 life threatening calls from the camp of Dr. Yaw Nsiah Peprah.

“I have just received 8 threatening calls from the camp of Dr. Yaw Nsiah Peprah’s, they believe I called the elections for hon Ackon. They say I was the reason the electoral commissioner certified it. Hmmm. In your hands I commit myself. I know I did my job as a Journalist” he posted

Two days after the above post, when we thought nerves were calming down, one of the most listened to News anchors in Obuasi again posted a telephone conversation he had with an unknown caller who threatened to take him to spiritualist.

“I just received a call hmm….Caller: hello, is this agudey?

Agudey: Yeah.
Caller:u called the elections for Hon. Ackon and EC also said he won B cos u first said it. God will punish you. Are u not talking?

Agudey; what do you want me to say?
Caller: ok if you won’t talk I will take you to my mallam and he will do something to make you sick. Bye bye” he posted

This is not the first time the lead Anchor for Shaft News is being attacked or threatened by some National Democratic Congress (NDC) faithfuls in Obuasi.

Attempts to reach Akwesi Agudey to ask his next point of action after these calls have proved futile.
