My First Commercial Movie As A Fresher Was Silverlines Family Album

An up-close with young and promising Ghanaian interviewer and writer, Manuel King, reveals the journalist has featured in a couple of movies of which one of them was with Silverline Productions – one of the leading movie production houses owned by Hajia Meizongo.

Family Album was a film shot last year within the month of June and it cast a lot of ace actors who are still in the movie industry – with the likes of Majid Michelle, Kalsum Sinari, Kofi Adjorlolo, Eddie Wartson, Christabel Ekeh, Ebbie Bright, Kafui Danklu and many more.

Speaking to King on his main role in the movie, the multi talented journalist who is also a radio entertainment show producer with Pink FM revealed he had no specific role as a fresher but rather played a free role.

“Basically I’d a free role as an extra would be given. You know normally an extra doesn’t shoot a lot so shooting four different scenes was okay with me and it was fantastic” – happily said by King.

In responding to the stigma of being looked down upon by veteran actors as a fresher, Manuel King said he was on a safer side unlike some of the freshers who weren’t well received by some of the veterans but believes it was on personal terms so it did not cause any demerit to the production.

“Almost every veteran was corporative and nice only a few grew cold but I’ll be honest to say Majid Michelle, Ebbie Bright, Christabel and a few others were so nice to me – without forgetting the lift Majid offered me, let me say thanks to him through this medium”

Working on his own radio talk show, Manuel King, who is seen by his colleagues as Komla Dumor has been on the lay-low for a while now. He has decided not to disclose the name of his radio talk show until few weeks to its maiden broadcast.
