Muss traders to move to Adjen Kotoku – MCE

Accra, Sept. 10, GNA – Mr Sam Atukwei Quaye, the Ga West Municipal Chief Executive has given traders at Muss, near Ofankor in the Greater Accra Region two months to vacate the area to Adjen Kotoku.

He said the Municipal Assembly has acquired a permanent land at Adjen Kotoku for the traders to ply their businesses there.

The area this year experienced a massive flooding, which destroyed properties due to human activities.

Briefing newsmen after inspection, Mr Quaye said the Assembly the only stream in the area had been filled with saw dust leading to the flooding of the area and the loss of lives and property.

He said: ‘The government being human-centered will not allow any Ghanaian to suffer unduly and, therefore, it is better for the people to move to a safer place at Adjen Kotoku.’

During the inspection it came to light that the area was also occupied by squatters and some criminals.
