Mahamas Comments On 200 SHS Project Disappointing Baako

Social commentator and journalist Kweku Baako Junior has described as disappointing President John Mahama’s refusal to offer details on his promised 200 senior high schools project in his State of the Nation Address.

In his view, the President should have been bold to show some pictorial evidence of the supposed 123 schools under construction aside the four completed ones, as often touted by government communicators.

President John Mahama in his last State of the Nation Address in parliament Thursday made reference to the four completed schools and the 123 others government claims are at different stages of completion. The 200 schools project was a major election campaign by Mr. Mahama during the 2012 electioneering.

Speaking on News File on Joy FM Saturday, the Crusading Guide newspaper owner challenged government to provide evidence of the 123 projects, if indeed they exist.

“I was very disappointed relative to the president’s comments on the 123 schools.

“He should have shown us evidence of that also like he did with other areas. It’s simple, the 123 can’t be delivered, even 50 is good enough, they should let integrity come to the communication. I am disappointed in this area and I challenge the ministry of education to provide evidence,” he stated.
