Labour unions hit streets over Tier-2 pensions

Members of the 12 labour unions battling government over the management of their Tier-2 Pension funds have hit the streets this morning to protest government’s handling of the matter.

The workers last month declared a strike demanding government hands over the money to their chosen scheme managers.

Government secured a court order forcing an end to the strike.

But the workers remain resolute and have been on the streets.

The demonstrations are ongoing in Accra and the Ashanti Regional capital of Kumasi.

In Accra, JoyNews reporter Kwakye Afreh Nuamah is following the action.

More soon.
