RESIDENTS OF Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, marked this year’s Christmas festivities in a peaceful atmosphere.

Unlike three years ago when the yuletide was usually marked amid security chaos, this year’s Christmas was incident-free.

The development was made possible, following the professionalism exhibited by the Ashanti regional police command.

Policemen were seen positioned at vantage parts of the city where miscreants usually operated.

The huge presence of the policemen in public contributed to making the yuletide the most peaceful one in the history of the city.

Meanwhile, there were a lot of entertainment activities, including live performances from musicians such Amakye Dede and Bisa Kdei in the city.

Vienna City also organised a series of mind-blowing activities to entertain the residents.

Two popular boxers in the country, Bukom Bank and Ayittey Powers, also thrilled residents with a match on the Boxing Day.
