Kofi Wayo Donates Books

One time presidential aspirant and Ghanaian businessman, Charles Kofi Wayo joined the people of Bongo in the Upper East Region to celebrate this year’s Christmas festivities. He also visited some deprived communities within the district where he distributed branded books and first aid kits.

Before the Christmas festivities, Mr. Wayo had visited some deprived communities in the region and donated a number of treated mosquito nets and educational materials to children there.

Charles Kofi Wayo believed that if more people are educated, they could analyze campaign messages and manifestoes and would elect capable leaders to govern the country into prosperity and would be able to demand accountability and transparent stewardship from them.

He distributed branded exercise books and assorted educational tools to deprived pupils in Bongo in the Bongo District, Yorogo in the Bolgatanga Municipality, Navrongo in the Kassena-Nankana and Kanjaga in the Builsa South District. Charles Kofi Wayo also gave out First Aid Kits worth GH¢5000.00 for the health needs of these pupils and others in their families.

He gave farming implements and other inputs to the traditional authorities of the communities he visited.

Kofi Wayo’s spokesperson, Emmanuel Che-errbo aka Kimo said the donations were part of activities Mr. Wayo had lined up for the Christmas celebration and looks forward to do more in 2016, once he continues to live and his businesses do well.

“He has been visiting the Upper East Region and making donations and encouraging the youth to be bold in all that they do in life. Usually, he requests that his visits should not be in the media. This time, it is appropriate to get it to the media, because, it will motivate others to do same.” Kimo noted.
