Working in conjunction with U.S. journalism schools, the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs developed an international exchange through the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) that has brought more than 1,200 foreign journalists to the United States since 2006.

Seth and other emerging media professionals will meet with their U.S. counterparts to share best practices in journalism and create new professional networks with fellow media professionals from the United States and around the world.

The Edward R. Murrow Program participants travel in small groups for academic seminars and field activities with faculty and students at one of the partner schools of journalism, then visit small to mid-sized U.S. cities to gain an understanding of media coverage in state politics and government.
