Jeremy Clarkson breaks silence on Top Gear: ‘I’ll miss being there’

Jeremy Clarkson has finally opened up over how he really feels about leaving Top Gear.

The 55-year-old presenter was released from his contract by the BBC after being suspended for attacking a producer of the show.

Up until now, he hasn’t spoken publicly about being dropped other than to say that ‘everybody’s upset’.

Writing in his column for The Sun today however, he gave a further insight by writing: ‘Heartfelt thanks to all those who have written to say how much they will miss me on Top Gear.’

Adding: ‘It’s not as much, however, as I’ll miss being there.’

Despite receiving widespread support from fans of the BBC 2 car show, Director-general for the Beeb, Tony Hall said following the decision that ‘a line has been crossed’ and ‘there cannot be one rule for one and one rule for another’.
