In the wake of 2016 general elections * Nana Addo advocates for violence free and fair elections.

The NPP flagbearer for the opposition New Patriotic Party for the 2016 general elections, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo says Ghanaians should impress on the Electoral Commission to ensure free and fair elections to avoid post election violence.

“I pray that no lives would be lost because of elections. This could be done when process and procedures for the 2016 general elections are made in transparency manner. We in the NPP promise that we will run clean campaigns devoid of political insults and violence. It is our wish that other political parties would emulate us for peace to prevail before, during and after the 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections.

It also behooves on the Electoral Commissioner and President John Dramani Mahama led NDC government to ensure free, fair and transparent election 2016″.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo stated these when he was addressing the chiefs and people of Gomoa Afransi in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region to climax their annual Akwambo festival on Saturday.

He advised NPP parliamentary candidates and their supporters to carry out clean campaigns adding that Ghanaians want the NPP to rescue them from the current economic crisis in the country.

The NPP Member of Parliament for Assin Central constituency, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong called on the people and Ghanaians as a while to vote for Nana Addo and all the parliamentary candidates in the 2016 general elections for good governance. The Gomoa Central MP pledged 300 bags of cements to the people towards the renovation of their community center.

The chief of Gomoa Afransi, Ogyedom Obrenu Kwesi Atta VI cautioned politicians against politics of insults and personal attacks as well as other behaviours that would create political violence.

Present were the NPP central regional chairman, Mr. Kutin, Gomoa central constituency chairman of the NPP, Mr. Benjamin Otoo and the NPP parliamentary candidate for Gomoa Central, Naana Eyiah among other dignitaries
