Hannah Tetteh wins Awutu-West Constituency primaries

Awutu Bereku (C/R), Nov. 22, GNA – Hundreds of NDC members in Awutu-West Constituency on Saturday night paraded through the Streets of Awutu Bereku Township amidst brass band music and the chanting of party slogans.

This occurred after Madam Hannah Tetteh, the incumbent MP, was declared the winner of the primaries in the area.

She received 4,045 votes representing 97 percent of the total valid votes cast in 21 polling stations in the Constituency to beat his opponent Captain Asuaka Oweriadu.

The primaries were conducted by officials from the Awutu-West Constituency officials from the Electoral Commission Officials and monitory team from the Office of the Central Regional NDC Secretariat.

Addressing the excited crowd, Madam Tetteh expressed her profound appreciation to the delegates for re-electing her as the party’s Aspiring Member of Parliament for the Constituency.

She assured the delegates and the entire members of the party of her readiness saying she was more than prepared to work with all and sundry to retain the Parliamentary seat in the 2016 general elections.

‘Now that the primaries are over, there was the need as members of the Great NDC party bury our differences, see ourselves as one people to forge ahead towards victory’.

She commended her campaigning team for good work done and expressed the hope that they will continue to do their best for the victory of the party in the 2016 parliamentary and presidential elections.
