H4P Crew Hosts Christmas Party For Children With Special Needs

As their name suggests, so have their words and works been over the years. The Here for Perfection (H4P) Crew gave their word and they have more than worked it out. Drama patrons and fans of the H4P Crew that trouped into the National Theater to watch their favorite entertainment crew perform had a real blast on Saturday, 12th December, 2015.

The H4P Crew premiered another love story titled “Matters of the Heart” and patrons were once again thrilled by Ghana’s most exciting cast of four. One of H4P’s objectives for organizing the concert was to mobilize funds to host a Christmas party for a special education school in Accra.

Just four days after a very successful fundraising concert, the H4P Crew honored their word by organizing a special Christmas party for the students and teachers of New Horizon Special School, a special education school for persons with intellectual disability situated at Cantonments, Accra.

The Here for Perfection (H4P) Organization is a non-profit organization with the focus of promoting the rights and freedoms of persons with disability. H4P’s passion is to bring dignity to disability and bridge the social inequity gap between persons with disability and persons without disability.

The H4P Organization has made a commitment to organize end of year Christmas parties for special education schools or groups made up of persons with disability as well as seek for external support for the disability group or schools H4P hosts.

This year’s celebration marked the fourth edition of the H4P Crew’s special Christmas parties. Honorable Emmanuel Bedzrah, Member of Parliament for Ho West and Honorable John Majisi, Member of Parliament for Krachi Nchumuru, were special Guests of Honors for this year’s edition. Hon. Bedzrah, in his address, commended the H4P Organization for proving its credibility over the years. He also attested to the fact that the projects of the H4P Organization are evidently clear and can easily be accounted for, unlike other NGOs that amass funds but have nothing to show for as evidence. Hon. Bedzrah was very pleased with what he saw at the Christmas Party and congratulated the H4P Organization for its life-transforming projects.

The Founder of New Horizon Special School, Mrs. Salome Francois, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the H4P Organization for the kind gesture. She was elated by the gift presentations the H4P Organization made to all the teachers and caregivers of the school as a show of gratitude to them for the good work done during the year. The teachers and caregivers were very appreciative of H4P’s gesture. One of the teachers commented about her surprise at the gifts presented to them because at such events, the students are usually the main focus. This is part of the many things that mark the uniqueness of the H4P Organization and the positive impact it keeps making in the disability community in Ghana.

It was a very emotional moment for both the H4P Organization and New Horizon Special School when the party had to be brought to a close and this brought some of the children to tears. It was evidently clear that the Christmas party made the desired impact on both the student body and the teachers at large.

Once again, the H4P Crew, fondly called the “angels of love”, have made another stride in their special advocacy for persons with disability. The H4P Organization can achieve so much more through the support of individuals, groups and organizations so all are invited to support.

The H4P Crew’s Christmas party wouldn’t have been possible without the support of their proud sponsors, DV Unlimited Company Ltd, producers of DV Kliners shower gels and liquid detergents.
