Gushegu DCE files nominations

Gushegu(N/R), Sept. 10, GNA – Alhaji Alhassan Fuseini, Gushegu District Chief Executive (DCE), has filed nominations to contest the parliamentary primary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Gushegu.

He submitted his nomination forms and GH¢10,000.00 filing fees in a banker’s draft to the Gushegu Constituency Executives of the NDC at Gushegu on Wednesday.

Alhaji Fuseini said his motivation to become a parliamentarian is to continue to work to consolidate the peace of the district to accelerate its development.

He said people from all walks of life in the district, who are witnesses to his performance as DCE, are yearning that he should enter parliament to continue to work with the President to advance the better Ghana agenda in the district and the constituency.

He expressed gratitude to the people for the massive support and assured them that he would not disappoint them.

Alhaji Fuseini also assured of working hard to increase the votes of the party in the constituency.

Mr Issahaku Mashud, Gushegu Constituency Organiser of the NDC called for the need for unity and decorum amongst the aspirants in the constituency to ensure that the party emerges stronger after the primary.

The Gushegu Constituency is currently held by the NDC and the DCE faces competition from the incumbent Member of Parliament to secure the mandate as the party’s candidate for the constituency in the 2016 Parliamentary Elections.

Meanwhile, nominations for NDC Presidential and Parliamentary primaries closed on Thursday with the elections scheduled for November 7.
