Grace Ashly And Co Rock K’dua With Homecoming Glory 2013

The Koforidua Old Estate Park on Wednesday became the centre of attraction as residents in the Regional capital besieged the place to catch a glimpse of some personalities in the Arts and Entertainment industry.

The residents, who only see these stars on television, also took the opportunity to participate in the biggest picnic ever organized in the regional capital, dubbed ‘Homecoming Glory 2013′ – which was put together by Heavens Place Events Company Limited.

Present at the homecoming glory 2013, are one of the finest gospel musicians in the country, Grace Ashly, affectionately called by her teeming fans as Obaa Yaa, Rev. Mary Ghansah, Waakye, Katawere, pastor Nana Perbi, Akrobeto and Adjoa Smart.

Others include traditional leaders, queen mothers, pastors and other very important people in the region.

The event was worth seeing as the stars put their fame, worth and status behind to participate in various form of games; such as tug-of-war, sack race, lime and spoon race and five aside football gala with their fans.

Welcoming the gathering, the General Mnager of Heaven’s Place Event Group Limited, Madam Hannah Amoabea thanked all and sundry who made the event a success and promised for more educative and entertaining events in the coming years.

She expressed her gratitude to God for making what she described as a family gathering, which they organized for the community, to welcome the New Year and to celebrate with worship, games and thanksgiving.

Speaking to the paper, pastor Nana Perbi, who is the brain behind the programme and resident of Koforidua, said he decided to bring the stars to the place, as his contribution and act of giving back to society.

He explained that he started the event some years ago with his family to usher in the New Year but decided that he would widen the even it in order to bring onboard his fans and others who have contributed to his development.

According to him, the programme was based on three areas; namely networking, to foster unity and peace among residents in the community and to acknowledge the people who have influenced his ministries in many diverse ways.
