The Accra auditioning of the ‘Gospel New Star’ reality show being organised by Unity Oil took place last Sunday at the premises of the Unity House in Accra.

The goal of this show is to entertain and educate TV audience and inspire and unearth the music passion hidden in the youth.

The producers feel it is important to acknowledge the talents of the youth and help them nurture it for future use, hence the term ‘The Gospel New Star’.

The show also seeks to reorient the minds of the youth and others in the society by showcasing the values in our rich world of music.

The fourth edition of the annual ‘Gospel New Star’ is a reality show designed to stir up the passion and interest of gospel music in Ghana, which over the years has dwindled to negligible level.

The event promises to be one of the most interesting, entertaining and educative reality shows to groom talents of young men and women to become gospel musicians.

The management of the Unity Group of Companies, organisers of the event, told BEATWAVES that the winner for the fourth edition will take home the latest edition of the Skoda saloon car.

The second prize is a 55-inch LED TV, third is a double-decker refrigerator, fourth and seventh prices will be smart phones. The previous winners of the event had either won a three-bedroom house or a brand new car.
