GII Appoints A New Boss To Take Over From Vitus Azeem

Mrs. Linda Ofori- Kwafo an experienced civil society activist has been appointed to take over as Executive Director of Ghana Integrity Initiative. Her appointment sanctioned by the board of directors takes effect from this month of March 1.

An email sent by the board chairperson of the organization M. A. K. Gyasi to all members of the GII, said “On behalf of the Board of Ghana Integrity Initiative, I wish to inform you that Mrs. Linda Ofori-Kwafo has been appointed the Executive Director of Ghana Integrity Initiative. The appointment takes effect from March 1, 2016. Mrs. Ofori-Kwafo succeeds Mr. Vitus Adaboo Azeem who proceeds on retirement from Ghana Integrity Initiative after eight years of service.

“Mrs. Ofori-Kwafo is currently the Executive Secretary of the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition (GACC).

“Mrs. Ofori-Kwafo joined the Ghana Integrity Initiative in 2003 as a Programs Officer. She was subsequently promoted to the position of the Programs Manager in 2005. She held this position until May 2014 when she resigned from GII to take up the position of Executive Secretary of the Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition. Mrs. Ofori-Kwafo holds a Bachelors’ degree in Political Science and Religious Studies from the University of Ghana and a Master in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource Management. She has attended several short courses on governance and anti-corruption.

The email said “By this Press Release, the Board of GII entreats all its partners and the general public, to address all official matters to Mrs. Linda Ofori-Kwafo. The official e-mail address remains [email protected] and the official telephone number is 030 – 2760884.

The email ended by saying that “The Board wishes to express its sincere gratitude to Mr. Azeem for his dedicated service to GII for the past eight years”.
