Ghanaians Shouldnt Vote On Party Lines

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Abbeam Institute of Technology at Obom Road in the Ga West District, Danso Abbeam Ampomah, has stressed the need for Ghanaians to refrain from voting on political lines since such action has denied the country of its needed development.

According to him, it is high time Ghanaians stopped voting on political lines since it had contributed to poor performance among most Members of Parliament (MPs) in their various constituencies.

He disclosed that even though most MPs have the needed contacts to undertake developmental projects in their constituencies, they fail to do so, with the intention that they would be voted for again because of their political affiliations.

Mr Ampomah gave the advice during the commissioning of the Abbeam Health Centre at Ngleshie Amanfrom.

He underscored the need for Ghanaians, to, as a matter of urgency, focus on voting against all non-performing MPs who are being covered by their political parties.

According to him, the health centre was constructed to help deal with the many health challenges that were being faced by the people in the community.

He bemoaned the deplorable nature of the road to the Kasoa Health Centre which is also worsening the health of patients who move from the area to access healthcare.

‘I remember when one woman who was in labour had to die on the way when she was being transported to Kasoa to be delivered of her baby, a situation which compelled the former assembly man of the area to appeal to me to construct a clinic for the people in the area. I thank God some few months after the discussion I have been able to provide the community with an ultra-modern clinic facility,’ he added

He stressed the need for government to privatise the health sector, adding that it had been politicised to the extent that ‘employees are not treated well to give off their best.’
