The Presiding Bishop of the Victory Bible Church International (VBCI), Rt. Rev. Nii Apiakai Tackie-Yarboi says the only panacea to Ghana’s socio-economic woes is a transformational leader.

According to him, “we have had several developmental challenges because over the years, we as a nation have failed to strategically develop transformational leaders”.

Bishop Tackie-Yarboi made the comment at the launch of the church’s 30 th anniversary at its headquarters, Dominion Sanctuary in Accra.

He underscored the need for the country to develop a national leadership strategy that will address Ghana’s national challenges.

“Ghana needs a non-partisan comprehensive National Development Policy that successive governments will be compelled to execute and our country will be set on the right path” he added.

Bishop Tackie-Yarboi also challenged President Mahama to talk less and fix the worsening power crisis in the country.

“The power crisis is affecting businesses, education, health and churches irrespective of the political party one belongs so I challenge the president and his team to talk less and fix the problem as promised in his 2015 State of the Nation Address” he stated.

Bishop Tackie-Yarboi said the church will continue to pray for President Mahama for God’s guidance, protection and good health to deliver on his promise.

The church’s 30 th anniversary was on the theme Celebrations will be the beginning of a number of activities such as a Health and Evangelism Walk, Hospital visitations, prayer meeting, trade fair and fun bazaar as well as a youth and singles seminar.
