Executive Director of the Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, has asked a former Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party, NPP, Dr. Arthur Kobina Kennedy to stick to his medical field “and stop meddling in things that he has very little expertise in.”

Dr. Arthur Kobina Kennedy in an article stated that the decision by the NPP to elect a flagbearer before having constituency and polling station elections ahead of the 2016 election cycle, is an “equivalent of a person who just got divorced jumping into a relationship with the first person of the opposite sex they meet without any reflection on how the old relationship failed.”

But according to Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, who spoke on Citi FM’s Point Blank programme, the inconsistent nature with which Dr. Arthur Kennedy approaches issues leaves him with very little to ponder on.

“Sometimes I get a bit surprised by Arthur Kennedy. When this all die-be-die issues started, Arthur Kennedy wrote an article in defence of Akufo-Addo on that matter. Two to three years down the line he was on radio criticizing that decision.

“This election petition Arthur Kennedy was in support of it, today he is saying something different so I am not too sure what value I have to put on it,” Gabby said.

Mr. Otchere-Darko revealed that Dr. Arthur Kennedy’s claim that the party made wrong calls on who should be the lead witness on the election petition hearing stems from his issues with Dr. Bawumia from 2008 after Nana Akufo-Addo chose him as his running mate.

In his opinion, “it is very easy to criticize after the facts it does not make him (Dr. Arthur Kennedy) any special.”
