From usher to host of CAF Awards Juliet Ibrahim shares her story

Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim is counting her blessings after receiving news that she is going to co-host the 2015 Glo Confederation of African Football (CAF) Awards.

The Ghanaian is hosting the event with SuperSport of South Africa presenter, Robert Marawa on January 7 at the International Conference Centre in Abuja, Nigeria.

The annual prestigious sports awards event reorganises and honours some of Africa’s best football personalities and teams.

After news of her new task went viral Monday, the actress has been recounting how she has graduated from being an usher at the same awards in 2007 to host in 2016.

She said on Instagram: “From being an usher at Glo Caf awards 2007 to being a guest at Glo Caf 2012 and 2014 and now to hosting the Glo Caf awards 2015! If Jesus says Yes nobody can say No.”

Juliet Ibrahim added that, “When I told my [sister] that I will be hosting this year’s Glo Caf awards @ssoniaibrahim said to me; this life is funny. Do [you] remember back in the day when [you] were just an usher for Glo Caf? lol”

For her, the development clearly shows that, “God is an awesome God.” She urged people to “Never give up on [your] dreams, keep pushing and stay determined.”

On the night, Black Stars player Dede Ayew is hoping the unseat Ivorian star Yaya Toure, who is eying another win this year after winning the award last year.

Dede is one of the three contenders for the 2015 African Player of the Year.

The three contenders are; Andre Ayew (Ghana/ Swansea City), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Gabon/ Borussia Dortmund) and Yaya Toure (Cote d”Ivoire/ Manchester City).
