Former South African President Calls On Nana Akufo-Addo

A former South African President has joined the scores of dignitaries that have been congratulating former flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo after he conceded defeat following the Supreme Court ruling on the election petition case.

Mr. F.W. De Klerk who is in the country to attend a lecture, called on Nana Akufo-Addo at his Nima residence and pat him on the back for willingly accepting the final ruling of the Supreme Court.

He said Nana’s act has spread worldwide, making him very ‘admirable beyond Africa’.

Recollecting a similar incident in South Africa, F.W. De Klerk said Nana’s demeanor and character is a ‘sign of true leadership’ and wished him well in other prospects.

Nana Akufo-Addo on his part thanked him for his congratulatory words and wished him well in his lecture.
