Fanteakwa Assembly To Improve Agriculture – DCE


Kibi magistrate court presided over by Her lordship Mrs. Alice Yirenkyi has granted bail to Amoako Benin at a sum of 6,000 cedis for inflicting cutlass wounds on an alleged thief to reappear on January 11th, 2016.

The suspect who was arrested on Friday inflicted wounds on the suspect, Edem Kwadjo, 34, after he caught him and his accomplice, Kuuku who is at large for stealing plantain from his farm at Akyem Nsutam on the Christmas day.

The prosecuter, chief inspector Margaret Kuntor told the court, the suspect and his accomplice stole the plantain on their way to drink palm wine from a nearby rapper.

He said upon seeing the suspect approaching the farm, the accomplice took to heels leaving the suspect alone.

Chief inspector Kuntor said upon little confrontations between them, the suspect inflicting several wounds to the suspect.

“According to the suspect, they took the idea to steal the plantain in order to have something to eat after drinking the palm wine ” he added.

Meanwhile the suspect, Edem Mojo is responding to treatment at the Koforidua central hospital.
