EIB Network Donates $5k Toward Nii Odoi Mensahs Kidney Treatment

The Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) Network has donated an amount of $5,000 to veteran actor Nii Odoi Mensah, to assist him pay for healthcare services as he battles kidney failure.

The astute actor and former president of the Ghana Actors Guild, who until January this year, had kept his condition private until his doctors declared both his kidneys incapable of performing their key functions was awestricken by the gesture.

He was on The Pundits on EIB Network’s newly-acquired GHOne TV over the weekend, to talk about the demise of his good friend, the late president of the Actors Guild, Eddie Coffie.

“Eddie was very calm and I was the only person who provoked him but I know him to be calm and a quiet person,” he told the host George Quaye.

But EIB Network’s CEO, Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye Adisi, in a kind gesture sent a text message into the programme promising $5,000 for his kidney treatment in China.

Mr. Odoi Mensah received his cheque donation from the multimedia and communications house on Wednesday November, 4 from COO Von Klaus Backustein.
