DJ Champagne Drops 2 Mixtapes For BASS Awards 2014

The 2nd edition of the BASS Awards (a scheme designed to reward various players in the Reggae & Dancehall industry in Ghana and Africa) is here again.

Ahead of the scheduled date – November 29th – award winning jock, DJ Champagne has produced another seasoned mixtape dubbed “Gh Dancehall Tunn Up” to celebrate the occasion.

According to Dj Champagne who has launched the mixtape online this week, “the idea of dropping the mixtape is to inseminate a hyper energy into the fans of the genre ahead of the main event which I hear would be an all day activity into the next day.

I have put almost all the classic joints released this year, the hits and other good songs which were not so known but are good, so the fans can familiarize more before the acts themselves jump on stage to give them a live performance of it. And also, Dancehall and Reggae has become very dominant in our industry now so we all need to celebrate it. I’ve always done similar mixes in the past but this one has a tighter flow when you listen to it.”

He has also done a second mixtape called “Dancehall Rave” which features only Jamaican acts which Dj Champagne explains to be “a bonus mix to revere the Jamaican acts who have produced major cuts this year as well.”

Meanwhile, DJ Champagne’s new project called “More Champagne Riddim” which hosts over 20 seasoned acts under one riddim project has began dropping singles from the Riddim album.
