Desist From Campaign of Insults- Daasebre Awuah Kotoko

Politicians have been urged to desist campaign of insults and verbal attacks since that would obstruct the peace the country has enjoyed over the years.

However, supporters of the various political parties have also been warned not to allow themselves to be used for violence acts as far as next year’s general elections is concerned.

Begorohene and Benkumhene of Akyem Abuakwa Traditional council, Daasebre Awuah Kotoko ll made the appeal at a durbar to climax this year’s Odwira (Ahwie) festival and the 30th anniversary his enstoolment as Fanteakwa chief.

“Ghana has had peace over these years therefore I am appealing to all political parties and their supporters to desist from any unhealthy campaign ” he added.

He therefore commended the Fanteakwa District Assembly and the government for their continuous support in terms of development and appealed for the construction of the Begoro- Osiem road due to the problem it has on the people.

The member of Parliaments for Fanteakwa north and south, Hon. Amankwah Asiamah and Okyere Agyekum(Arafat), commended the chief for his hardwork over the years and pledged to support his development agenda.
