Bongo Confirms DCE Nominee

Mr Ayamdoo, the former Presiding Member, polled all 52 votes.

Hon. Alexis Ayamdoo dealt fairly with all Assembly members during his tenure at the Bongo District Assembly.

But on Monday, September 9, 2013, the President’s nominee for Bawku Municipality, Amadu Karim was rejected by 19 out of 28 Assembly members.

Hon Alex Ayamdoo has worked tirelessly in the area of education to build the capacity of the youth.

The Upper East Regional Minister, Alhaji Limuna Mohammed-Muniru, who witnessed the event, advised Hon. Alexis Ayamga to be humble and serve the people and further tasked him to always consult the chiefs and elders in the district to enhance development.

He commended the Assembly members for confirming the nominee and called for their support to enable him move the district forward.

Some Assembly members, who spoke to DAILY GUIDE, said they expect a lot from the new DCE, considering his experience in local government and rural development.
