Assailants slit boy’s throat on his way to church

A 12-year-old a class 6 pupil at Abokyikrom L/A Primary School in the New Abirim District of the Eastern region has been killed by some unknown people.

The innocent boy was gruesomely murdered on his way to church on Sunday.

Adom News investigations revealed that, Michael was riding his bicycle from Osei Yaw Akura to Abokyikrom where he worshipped with The Church of Pentecost when the unfortunate incident happened.

One of his uncles is said to have seen the boy’s bicycle and sandals by the roadside, raising suspicions about the whereabouts of the boy.

The limping uncle upon reaching home enquired from family members where the boy was and reported what he saw on his way.

A search party was commissioned to look for Michael. He was found dead with a slit throat.

The body has since been deposited at the Nkawkaw Holy Trinity Family Hospital for autopsy.

Meanwhile, the youth in the community have arrested and handed over to the Nkawkaw police one Togolese and two Ghanaians suspected to be connected to the crime.

However, efforts to reach the Nkawkaw Divisional police for confirmation have proven futile.
