Ashaiman Municipal Assembly office project would commence in 2016 – MCE

Ashaiman (G/A), Nov. 9, GNA – Mr Ibrahim Baidoo, the Municipal Chief Executive for Ashaiman, has announced that the Assembly office complex would commence in 2016.

He said residential and office accommodations have been a challenge to the Assembly and that situation was seriously having effect on the performance of the staff.

Mr Baidoo made this known at the first ordinary meeting of the Ashaiman Municipal Assembly and that the project contract was awarded on August 16, 2012, but it was yet to be started.

He said the contract has been reviewed by the previous Assembly.

He mentioned other projects that were in the pipeline as the construction of Fire Service office complex and the health facility at Tuibleoo (Lebanon -Zone 3).

Mr Baidoo said the Assembly was liaising with the Member of Parliament, the Regional Minister and relevant state actors to see to the completion of abandoned GETFund projects to eliminate the shift system in the Municipality.

He said education was the bedrock of development and urged parents and guardians to enroll their wards in schools.
