Appietus Asked For $10000 Before I Could Learn Beatmaking – Dr Ray

Seasoned music producer cum beatmaker Nana Yaw Nkrumah, also known in the music scene as Dr. Ray says he strongly believed that hard work will one day pay off for him getting the most recognized award in Africa.

Dr. Ray who was formerly a member of the tag Cash 2 and Ray in an interview with declared in line of being the finest in Ghana and beyond.

According to him he is a threat to many of the sound engineers in Ghana and Africa.

Artist worked with: 4 X 4 VIP Samini Yaa Pono Akoo Nana Sarkodie Stonebwoy Danso Abbiam Castro Kofi Kinaata Wizkid, Timaya, Criss waddle, R2bees and Atumpan.

When asked among the above artists who is his favorite Dr. Ray quickly answered that ‘’I wouldn’t say i have a favorite. I enjoy working with everyone ‘’.

Dr. Ray holds a track record of professionalism thus, working in studio and live sound. Also has worked outside and inside, and across the country.

In an answer to challenges facing him as Beatmaker he stated that: ‘’I believe sound engineering is a profession on its own and climbing higher to the other continent’’.

Dr .Ray revealed that, Appiah Dankwa known as Appietus was his mentor before joining the music industry. ‘’ I developed my beat making skills from ace beatmaker Appietus.’’

‘’I used to listen to Appietus way back and through this, I developed interest in making beats. I started learning from his works till now that I have been able to overpower him’’.

But the only unfortunate incident that occurred was that, when I developed the talent and contacted Appietus to broaden my knowledge in beatmaking he told me to pay 10000 dollars before after hearing that I said to myself that I will work hard to attain where he has gotten to and by His grace am there ‘’ he stressed
