Angry customers besiege offices of Dwadifo Adanfo; demand release of savings

Angry customers of Dwadifo Adanfo Microfinance Company at Kasoa in the Central Region have besieged the offices of the company demanding the release of their savings.

The customers in an interview with Joy News’ Derrick Ekow Sam said they have been to the office many times but have been denied access to their monies.

“We came here yesterday and they told us to come today, we are here today and they are telling us to come back tomorrow and we have been been coming here since Friday”, one woman said to Derrick.

The closure of the company for the past couple of days has made the situation more worrying for the customers.

They believe something fishy is going on and they are being used as scape goats.

It’s unclear what has led to the company’s closure but the customers are angry and are demanding answers.

“I think they have run away with our money” another customer alleged.

The customers told Derrick some police officers have been to the premises to whisk away the workers but were unable to tell where exactly they have been taken to.

The situation is not different at the Brong Ahafo region,

Customers of the company were shocked when they went to the premises of the company today to withdraw their savings.

They were welcomed with a notice which stated that the office has been closed until further notice.

Market women – who form a majority of the company’s clientele – have expressed dissatisfaction about the situation.
