Afoko: Im Sad, Angry And Mad

Suspended New Patriotic Party (NPP) national chairman Paul Afoko has broken his silence after the National Council of the party upheld a decision for him to remain on suspension indefinitely.

The Council by a majority vote of 70 affirmed the decision of the National Executive Council (NEC) for the embattled chairman to be on suspension following allegations that he is working against the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition.

In a terse post on his official Facebook page, Afoko believes God will see him through.

“I’m sad, hurt, angry, mad and disappointed….but you know what? I will put on a smile. God is in the middle of the storm. It is well,” Afoko wrote on Friday.

His lawyer Martin Kpebu has given the strongest indication that Afoko could consider proceeding to court following the dismissal of his petition to have his suspension overturned.
